A Little Bit About Rosedale Bible Church
What was once a country church in a farming community miles out of town is now a thriving and growing ministry in one of the most appealing communities in Bakersfield. It's almost as though the city of Bakersfield has come to us. The last stop light on the way out of town going west on Rosedale Highway is at Heath Road and Rosedale Highway; and that is where we are located.
RBC has served the Rosedale area for more than a hundred years. But we believe that the best is yet to come. RBC shapes its ministry to meet the needs of people living in the Bakersfield/Rosedale area in the 21st century. Our worship ministry combines traditional and contemporary music and features a great choir, an exceptional praise team, and very talented instrumentalists and soloists. With that combination of talent and dedication, our goal in worship every Sunday morning is that what we do, say, and sing will be God-centered and faithful to the saving message of Jesus Christ.
As our name implies, the Bible is very important at Rosedale Bible Church. Our sermons on Sunday mornings seek to be clear enough for everyone to understand, but deep enough to help a person grow in his or her faith. We also try to be biblically accurate and culturally relevant.
Most people that visit this church agree that one of our greatest strengths is the friendliness of the people that make up our congregation. Since our beginning farming has always been an important part of our church history. Today, still with many farming families in our church, our ministry also includes people from all kinds and levels of backgrounds and professions. Young or old, married or single, with children or without, a person would have to look long and hard to find a church family as friendly as RBC. We like to think of ourselves as "The Grace Place." It is no exaggeration to say that RBC could be the end of your search for a friendly church.
