Dan grew up on his family’s farm in the Rosedale area and thought Ag would be his career for life, but God had other plans. After the family farm lost its lease on a significant portion of land, he started a landscape maintenance company and God used the 10-year experience of running a business which focused on customer service as a great training grounds for serving others in future ministry.
In 2001 Dan joined the staff at RBC as full-time Youth Pastor. During his ministry to the youth, he realized his need to be trained further for ministry and in 2010 he began his commute over the grapevine to attend The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley. Upon graduating in May 2015 with a Diploma of Theology, he was called to become the Lead Pastor at RBC and assumed that role in June 2015.
Dan is blessed to be married to his high school sweetheart Colette and together they have three adult children, Andrew and his wife Jaclyn, Layne her husband James, and Michael. He also has three grandchildren. His greatest joy is teaching and explaining the Word of God, which points to Jesus Christ. Other interests include the Dodgers, reading, and fast cars.
Marcus grew up in Nipomo, California and came to Bakersfield in 2004. In 2010, he felt God's call to start helping with the youth group at Rosedale Bible Church. His volunteering with the youth led to a job with Youth For Christ. The training and experience at YFC allowed him to become the Youth Pastor at RBC when Dan Krause was called to be our Lead Pastor. Marcus has been on staff at Rosedale Bible Church since 2014.
Marcus is married to his best friend Jill and together they have three children, Isabella, Cade and Sydney. When Marcus isn’t at church he loves spending time with his family and watching sports. Especially the Dodgers and USC football!
